For sure, we’re thrilled on each Labor Day to have fun alongside all of the participants and our friends at Miles For Cystic Fibrosis and Flying Biscuit at the annual Big Peach Sizzler 10k! But even more important is the impact this event has all year long for those who have Cystic Fibrosis (CF), as well as their families and their caregivers… In this episode, we unpack a story of determination and perseverance lived out by one of Big Peach’s own, Colin Penuel, and his Mom, Becky. As a CF patient, Colin joins our featured conversation with lung functionality that has climbed above 50% for the first time in over two (2) years and an ongoing daily regimen of breathing treatments and medications. In-and-out of the hospital his entire life (and again just recently), Colin helps us better understand this progressive, genetic disease while inspiring us through his outlook and his own accomplishments. His mother, understandably driven by such a painfully personal purpose, has become the Executive Director of Miles For Cystic Fibrosis and the Race Director for Big Peach Sizzler. By the end of this episode, this dynamic duo will have you more educated, more encouraged and more grateful!
