The RUNATL Podcast is hosted by Big Peach Running Co. Founder, Mike Cosentino, and Director of Marketing, Dave “D2” Martinez. This week on the RUNATL Podcast Mike & D2 sit down with David Raichlen as we discuss the impacts of movement and exercise on human evolution.
Hello, Friends!
Mandatory or mandated learning is tough for most of us, I would imagine… I know it is for me. Read this, memorize that, be ready for the test on this day.
Ughhhh!
But now – – as an adult, anyway – – I love to learn because I get to choose what I wish to learn or learn more about. And one of life’s great thrills (in my humble opinion) is getting unexpectedly exposed to something that immediately engages and inspires you to learn more. You lean in… in a way that you just know you do not always do.
And, man, did I lean in during our Featured Conversation in this episode with Dr. David Raichlen! And the curiousness with why a “running-themed” podcast would host an anthropologist becomes a great reminder for us all that we can occasionally win when we welcome the unexpected… Enjoy, my friends!
Here are the Show Notes for Episode #48… Enjoy!
Here’s an overview of our Featured Conversation.
Here are just a couple of many available articles featuring our Dr. Raichlen.
The University of Arizona News and Arizona Jewish Post.
Here is the listing on our website for the new shoe D2 referenced in our intro!
And here’s the opening scene from Last of the Mohicans that Mike referenced in the conversation with Dr. Raichlen. Although this is not a graphic depiction, it is still a hunting scene…
This is for the race that Mike mentioned involving both man and horse (but will the race happen in 2019?).
As always, we THANK YOU for being part of the fun! We strive to bring you the absolute best content to Inform, Inspire, Empower and Encourage you in and for your own Pedestrian-Active Lifestyle.
